Rolling Out

🗓 Rolling Out · AUGUST 31 → SEPTEMBER 6
  • 📖 Published — Greater Than Ourselves (David McCloud, guest from Granada Church · Colossians 4:2-18 · GREATER THAN series), EN + ES with same-day parity, both carrying a full transcript
  • 📝 Two blogs, both bilingual: the sermon blog Monday and The Ministry of Staying Wednesday — and for the first time the Wednesday post is genuinely SCHEDULED, held back by a date gate rather than by someone remembering not to publish it
  • 🎬 4 vertical Shorts → YouTube + IG Stories, Mon–Thu 4:30 PM ET — Wednesday's Short and Wednesday's blog land on the same Aristarchus thread
View 5 more
  • 📱 Mon–Fri 9 AM — devotionals Day 1–5, EN and ES, released through the publish gate
  • 🌐 A website-feature card daily at noon; a sermon pull-quote daily at 3 PM
  • 🇪🇸 A Spanish card every day at 7 PM
  • 🎖️ Chaplain America returns to the schedule — Jacob Friday 2 PM, Jacob Sunday 2 PM, then Joseph the following week, each publishing itself
  • 🏠 The homepage hero now plays this week's 10-minute cut — desktop, mobile, poster and the slide spans that keep the headline off the letterboxed slide

Greater Than Ourselves - Colossians 4:2-18

Guest Preacher, Granada Church David McCloud  ·  Colossians 4:2-18  ·  Sunday, August 30, 2026

Paul closes Colossians from a Roman prison — no food unless someone carried it in, no plumbing, no assumption that a prisoner's life had value — and he does not ask to be let out. Guest preacher David McCloud of Granada Church, closing the Greater Than series, follows three things Paul does instead. He looks UP, asking God to open a door for the message rather than the cell door. He looks OUT, treating a prison as an opportunity the way three men cutting the same stones can be breaking rocks, making a living, or building a sanctuary. And he looks AROUND, ending the letter with a long list of hard-to-pronounce names because he has no intention of doing any of this alone. One of them is Aristarchus, who appears five times in the New Testament and never speaks a recorded word — he is simply present, every time, in the hardest moments. What David calls the ministry of staying, where a person's presence is a present. Your circumstances are a privilege, he says, and then, without softening it: and yes, there will be some suffering.

* PENDING — Instagram still isn't in Supermetrics, so the first three tiles are read by hand from the IG professional dashboard. What IS measurable from our own scheduler: 28 slots approved for the coming week (24 image Stories + 4 Short video Stories), none stranded in draft. First week the four sermon Shorts were scheduled to Instagram at all — they had been rendering to disk and going nowhere.

GA4 property 514331806, Aug 23–29 vs Aug 16–22, pulled live 8/31. Traffic is DOWN on volume and UP on quality: users 403 → 358 and page views 1,066 → 936, but engagement rose 48.2% → 52.4%. The prior window carried the tail of a campaign surge; this is closer to the site's real baseline. Read the two together rather than either alone. NOTE: this tile was blank for ten weeks — blog_weekly and pco_weekly stopped being written on 2026-06-14 and nothing was scheduled to run them. Backfilled 8/31.

Blog-only slice of GA4 plus Search Console. Page views held flat at 95 while sessions and new users fell — fewer people, reading more each. Top search query in the window was Spanish ("estan en el mundo pero no son del mundo"), and the rest were Lemuel Haynes and Letter from Birmingham Jail — the January Black History Month and MLK posts still doing the work.

📈 Sermon Views — YouTube, Homepage & Podcast (last 5 Sundays)

Each bar is one Sunday’s total across every channel — the number above the bar — with the segments showing which channel contributed. YouTube = views; homepage hero = plays of the condensed cut; podcast = deduped downloads. These are lifetime totals, so older sermons have had longer to accumulate. Read the mix and the recent trend, not a strict week-to-week ranking — the newest bar is hatched because it has had days rather than weeks.

† Aug 30 = hatched: still accruing, fewer days than the bars beside it.
